about

SLYDIGS might be a name that is not new to you. This band is the real thing: great songs, attitude, charisma, they have it all. To get 700 people to turn up at one of your gig in Dublin in mid-July, you have to be that good. When their first single, ‘Electric Love’, was released, the NME said: ‘Make sure that it is one of the 5 tracks you buy this month’: check it out on www.nme.com/reviews/nme-breakthrough/11487 . The video of that single was also awarded Video Of The Week on Sky Music Channel, Lava and was also in the Radar Section of NME TV. C4 has also featured ‘Electric Love’ on a new program, ‘Fresh Meat’ and it was also used in a C5 advert. And that is only the start because SLYDIGS have already supported Pete Doherty, The New York Dolls, The Fall, Idlewild, Shack, Alabama 3, The Charlatans and the list goes on. In 2011, the band played numerous festivals such as: HAIGH FEST (The Coral / Courteneers), SOUTHPORT ROCKS FESTIVAL and EXMOUTH FESTIVAL They also opened the WESPORT MUSIC FESTIVAL in County Mayo.. After announcing the release of their album, they were invited to perform on a new music TV show ‘Rule Britannia’ to be featured on Sky 1 and ITV. ‘Electric Love’ will also be the theme tune for ‘Rule Britannia’. But have a look at what others say about SLYDIGS:

“With energy to boot, the band are a tornado of great indie music from thudding drum beats and riffs that makes it impossible to keep still” Review- 100 Club- 2012

“SLYDIGS have got the looks, the haircuts, the riffs, a Manchester postcode and a love of money, women and fast cars. In short, everything they need to be the saviours of rock ‘n’ roll and kick out the indie kids and electronica knob twiddlers.” Review Radio Caroline TV

“Slydigs? Yeah, they’re OK” David Gilmour, Pink Floyd.
