about
The Scavengers , the band fronted by ex-Crazyhead (and sometimes a Gaye Bykers On Acid) Ian ‘Delta’ Anderson, were formed in 2016 by Martin Scavenger (ex- Shooter). Based in Brighton, Ian Anderson (a.k.a: Ian Scavenger) was recruited while Shooter were supporting the UK Subs and Ian was asked to sing a few songs with them! They liked it so much that Ian stayed with the band.. Crazyhead were signed by Food Records and had one Top 60 single and album before disbanding. They reformed in 2017. The Scavengers originally only performed Stooges, Velvet Underground and 60’s garage songs. But they are now doing their own songs and as this album shows, they are getting very good at it. Eleven new songs, with a sound straight from the dirtiest garage in Detroit, got Iggy Pop’s approval so Stooges and MC5 fans should enjoy this new album.
